Lumen Reels

The spin, step by step

1. Bet. Enter a total of at least 10 coins, or tap a preset chip. The total is split evenly across all five paylines, so a 50-coin bet puts 10 coins on each line. Bets round to the nearest multiple of five.
2. Draw. All nine symbols are picked by your browser's random number generator the instant you press spin, each one an independent weighted draw. The reels that follow are an animation of a result that already exists.
3. Lines. Five paylines are always live: the top, middle and bottom rows, plus both diagonals — falling light running top-left to bottom-right, and rising light running bottom-left to top-right.
4. Pays. Three matching symbols on a line pay the full amount in the table opposite. Two matching symbols starting from the left-hand reel pay a smaller consolation. Only the better of the two counts on any one line, and every winning line is added together.
5. Settle. Winning panes light up in amber, the total lands back in your balance, and the strip under the controls records the spin.

The spacebar spins, so you never have to reach for the mouse.

Reading the odds

Symbols are not drawn evenly. The ruby lozenge is the most common pane on the reels and the lumen rose the rarest, which is exactly why one pays ten times a line bet and the other a hundred and seventy. Nothing carries over between spins — each draw is independent, and a long quiet run does not make the next spin any warmer.

Balance. You start with 5,000 free coins. If the balance drops under the 10-coin minimum, spinning locks and a message appears; Refill coins resets you to 5,000 at no cost, and reloading the page does the same. Coins cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or redeemed for anything.
